Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-09-08
These terms govern your use of handoff-it. By creating an account or syncing content you agree to them.
1. The service
handoff-it stores copies of your AI-tool conversations (Claude Code, Codex and others), lets your AIs save distilled memories, and serves that context back through the dashboard, the REST API and the MCP integration.
We provide the storage and recall infrastructure. The content of your conversations is yours; we do not review or use it.
2. Your account
You need an account to sync. You are responsible for the activity in your account and for keeping your credentials and API keys secret.
On the Team plan, workspace members share one archive: everything synced or saved in the workspace is visible to its members.
3. Your content
You keep all rights over your conversations and memories. You grant us only the license needed to store, process (parsing, search indexing) and serve them back to you.
The sync client redacts detected secrets on your machine before upload. Redaction is best-effort: you remain responsible for what you choose to sync.
You may not use handoff-it to store content that is illegal or that you have no right to hold.
4. Plans and billing
Free and paid tiers differ in storage and seats. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number.
Downgrading or cancelling keeps your archive readable within the new plan's limits.
5. Termination
You can delete your account at any time; this deletes your archive. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, with notice when feasible.
6. Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the previous 12 months.
